Traditional Indian dishes take centre stage at Shangri-La’s Deepavali buffet
With Deepavali but around the corner, it'southward time to gather your loved ones for some festive feasting in commemoration of this joyous occasion. This season, The Line at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is offering an elaborate a la carte cafe, featuring an expanded selection of Indian dishes.
Created by Chef Dilip Nayak, who hails from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the line-up includes Bharwan Baingan with Salan Sauce (stuffed baby eggplant with coconut and peanut sauce); Grilled Garlic Seabass; Crab Kofta with Moilee Sauce – a mild coconut sauce with a touch of tartness from Kerala, South Republic of india; and Tandoori Malai King Prawn, offered exclusively for Deepavali.
A variety of sweet treats round up the selection, ranging from traditional Indian desserts such as Kaju Burfi, to classic desserts modernised with a touch of Indian flavours in the form of Masala Chai Creme Brulee.
In addition to an expanded spread of Indian fare, guests can notwithstanding indulge in the flavours of the world with eight other cuisines and a total of 88 dishes available to order and served tableside. The Deepavali a la carte buffet is available during lunch and dinner from Nov 12 to November xv, priced from S$58++ per person.
